Christopher Painter-Wakefield

Teaching Professor, Computer Science

Christopher Painter-Wakefield received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University in May 2013. He also has a B.S. in Physics from Wake Forest University (1990). His work experience includes 11 years as a computer programmer. In August of 2013, he joined the Colorado School of Mines as a Teaching Associate Professor in Computer Science. Christopher lives in Arvada with his wife, Patty, and two boys, Ian and Timothy. His hobbies include cooking, gardening, and reading (especially science fiction). His research interests are: machine learning with an emphasis on planning under uncertainty and reinforcement learning.
