This side quest is due by December 11, 2016 by 11:59pm to earn the achievement.

Part I - WebGL

For this Side Quest, you will create a WebGL application. We have now seen all the needed pieces to implement a WebGL application. The two main differences from what we have been doing for the majority of the semester are the inclusion of:
  • Vertex & Fragment Shaders
  • Vertex Buffer Objects / Vertex Arrays

The rest of the rendering pipeline remains the same. We must convert the syntax from C/C++ to JavaScript.

Your task is to convert a previous Assignment or Lab to a WebGL application. It must be A2 or later, or L01 or later. These are the first instances of using animation and interaction. Your WebGL application must be animated and must allow for user interaction via the mouse and keyboard.

Part II - Website

Update the webpage that you submitted with A7 to include an entry for this assignment. There should be a link from your webpage to your WebGL page. Include the WebGL html file and any needed assets (textures, model files) in your www/ folder.

Grading Rubric

To earn the achievement, your WebGL program must meet the requirements for the original submission that has been converted.
IN ADDITION: IN ORDER TO EARN THE ACHIEVEMENT, THIS SIDE QUEST MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO DEC. 11, 2016 11:59PM. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND ADDED TO THE STUDENT'S PAGE, BUT THE ACHIEVEMENT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FOR A LATE SUBMISSION.
